8 Days in Morocco Tour from Tangier to Marrakech

Day 01: Tanger – Chefchaouen

Your 8 Days in Morocco with Wow Morocco Tours will start in Tangiers, our drivers will pick you up from the port or any location in Tangier and head to the blue city of Chefchaouen. In the road, you will stop in many panoramic places to enjoy the scenery especially Hercules Cave, then the White Dove (Tetouan) and head to Chefchaoun to enjoy the blue walls of the city while you walk through the medina and head to your riad. you will have a romantic dinner on the terrace of a restaurant in the medina.

Day 02: Chefchaouen – Fes

After a wonderful night in the riad, the following morning will start with breakfast then you will head on the 8 Days in Morocco tour towards Volubilis (the ruins of an ancient beautiful Roman city). In the road to Volubilis, you will pass through Ouazzan and other cities.

In Volubilis you will enjoy the historical landscape, our team will take you to visit the Roman ruins and let you explore the archeological site and its history. After visiting the ruins, you will continue the journey to Meknes, a city with a 17th century heritage. The team will stop in this place for lunch and give you the chance to explore the huge historical walls of the medina, visit Bab el Mansour and enjoy a visit to Moulay Ismail’s shrine. After that, you’re going to stay in a Riad in the Medina, and spend the night enjoying your stay the ancient medina of Meknes.

Day 3: Fes guided tour

After breakfast, you will start by exploring one the of oldest cities in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. You will start by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco (an ancient Jewish headquarters which was built during the 16th century).

Our team will make sure that you visit all important cultural and historical monuments including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in Morocco and the World, the Attarine Museum, Tanneries, and Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. After having lunch, our team and you will pay a visit the tiles cooperative to see how they work then get a wonderful panoramic view over the whole medina of Fes. You will spend the night in one of the most wonderful Medina Riads.

Day4: Fes– Ziz Valley – Merzouga

As usual, your journey starts after breakfast and you will be heading to the beautiful city of Ifran, then move to Azrou, where you’ll stop to explore the cedar forest, one of the biggest forests in Morocco, and enjoy the company of the Berber apes.

You will continue the 8 Days in Morocco tour to Midelt and cross the amazing Tizi N Tlghamt Pass then pass by the Ziz valley and have a small stop in Erfoud for quick lunch/drink and the journey continues through Rissani before you reach Merzouga. Once there, you will choose between crossing the desert with camels or cruising the golden dunes of the sand with our 4×4 to explore the region of Erg Chebbi. It’ll take us around 90 minutes to reach the campsite (if you choose the camels), once there, you ’ll enjoy the view of the beautiful sunset over the dunes and once it is dark, our dinner will be served around a campfire. This night will be spent in a Berber tent in the middle of the desert to enjoy the sight of beautiful sky full of starts as you may have never seen them before.

Day 5: Merzouga – Toudra Gorge – Dades valley

In the early morning, you will get up to enjoy the magnificent sunrise from above the dunes then have breakfast, after that you will get on the back of camels to ride back to the camels parking to continue your tour. you’ll leave for Tinghir and the Toudra Gorges where you will spend and amazing day in the beautiful mountains and Oases, next you will stop at the Dades Valley enjoy the beautiful sightseeing and have dinner then spend the night in a hotel/Riad.

Day 6: Dades Valley -Marrakech

Your tour from tangier will resume after breakfast, you will head to Ait Ben Haddou, to visit the local Kasbah, which is the largest Kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO world heritage site. After that, you will continue your tour to Marrakech through High Atlas Mountains until we reach the Red City where we’ll spend the night at traditional Riad, in the medina.

Day 7: Marrakech Guided Tour

After breakfast in the riad, you will start exploring “The reddish city from which Morocco got its name in French or other languages “Marrakesh”. Our team will make sure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace. After lunch at a restaurant near the Jamaa El Fna square, you will walk through the souks (local markets) and view hundreds of handicrafts. In the Afternoon, you will have some free time to wander by yourself through the other parts of the city.

Day 8: Marrakech – Marrakesh Airport

After an early breakfast in your Riad, our driver will take you to the Airport of Marrakesh to end our 8 Days in Morocco tour from Tangier (depending on your departure time). And if you still have time you can still stroll around Marrakesh to Explore More places.
