- And try to have the apposite kind of clothes always hand as the weather in Morocco is sometimes unpredictable especially in winter.
Day 1: Casablanca – Midelt
Your SAHARA DESERT TOUR FROM CASABLANCA with Wow Morocco Tours starts as our driver will pick you up from your location anywhere in the city in the morning depending on the time you are ready to start out your journey. In your way, you will have some stops to benefit from the panoramic views on the road as well as visit some historical monuments in the cities on your way like Meknes which contains amazing places to visit. You will have lunch in Meknes and continue the tour to Midelt where you will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 2: Midelt – Sahara Desert
The following morning the Desert tour from Casablanca will resume from Midelt just after your have breakfast. Our transport will pick you up from the hotel and head to the desert. You will still have a lot of stops in your way to enjoy the landscape like the Tizi N Tlghamt Pass (a pass in the Middle Atlas) to enjoy the mountains and the green trees of the Atlas. The next place you will see is the lake of Hassan II Dam which is not a natural lake but an artificial one made to store water for use in watering the land and providing people with sufficient drinkable water from the rain.
The next stop of our desert tour from Casablanca will be in the Ziz valley which is an amazing palm tree valley that runs along 30km in a snake like view. And the journey continues to Merzouga. When you arrive in Merzouga, you will live one of the amazing adventures like the ones you may have read about in the Alchemist by Coelho. You start by riding camels to enjoy the golden dunes of the sand and take pictures of an amazing sunset, then you will enjoy dinner in a luxurious tent and you will spend the night here in this amazing desert camp but before you go to sleep a group of Berber singer will entertain you with amazing drum music, and dances around a campfire.
Day 3: Sahara Desert sightseeing – Midelt – Fes
Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, a magical experience as the first light of day transforms the landscape with shifting colors. After soaking in the serene beauty, enjoy a hearty breakfast at your desert camp or riad before setting off on your journey to Fes. The drive takes you through the vast Ziz Valley, where palm groves and ancient kasbahs dot the scenery, offering picturesque photo opportunities. Stop in Midelt, a town nestled in the Middle Atlas Mountains, for lunch and a chance to admire the dramatic landscapes. Continuing your journey, pass through the cedar forests of Azrou, home to playful Barbary macaques, and the charming town of Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland” for its alpine-style architecture. By late afternoon or early evening, arrive in Fes, where you can settle into your accommodation and explore the city’s vibrant medina at your own pace.
Day 4: Fes – Airport
Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a leisurely morning in Fes, perhaps indulging in a final stroll through the medina or sipping Moroccan mint tea at a traditional café. When it’s time, transfer to either Fes Airport for your departure or take a longer but scenic drive to Casablanca Airport, ensuring you arrive with plenty of time for check-in and departure formalities.
