Morocco Grand Tour 16 Days

Day 01: Casablanca – Casablanca Sightseeing

Your Morocco grand tour with WOW MOROCCO TOURS starts from the airport. Our drivers will pick you up as soon as you arrive and take you to your hotel in Casablanca. Depending on the time of your arrival, the tour will be customized to make you enjoy every minute of it. So you will be served delicious meals as soon as you arrive and if time allows you will explore some Casablanca sites such as the Hassan II mosque, Morocco Mall shopping center, and a nearby beach area.

Day 02: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaoun

After spending the night in the hotel , the Grand Morocco Tour starts in Casablanca, you visit Hassan II Mosque then heading to Rabat(the Moroccan capital) where you will visit THE Royal Palace, Chella (the ancient city in Rabat) , Mohamed V Mausoleum and HASSAN Tower, in addition to other places like the traditional souk, the medina and Kasbah of the Udayas which is in the mouth of Bou Regreg River after that you will be heading to the blue City of Chefchaoun and you will stay at a Raid with a view of the blue city After check in, you’ll have free time to explore the blue pearl .

Day 03: full day to explore Chefchaouen (the blue pearl)

You will be amazed by all the blue buildings in one of the most beautiful cities in Morocco located at the feet of the Rif Mountains. The city is built in Spanish-style square with amazing art shops and Bazars dispersed all around the city, in addition to terrace restaurants with amazing Moroccan cuisine. the city is amazing for people who want to enjoy walking throughout the beautiful alleys of the medina. and you will spend the night in a calm beautiful location with the northern breeze caressing your hair and face.

Day 04: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes

After a wonderful night in the riad, the following morning will start with breakfast then you start out towards Volubilis (the ruins of an ancient beautiful Roman city). In the road to Volubilis, you will pass through Ouazzan and other cities. In Volubilis you will enjoy the historical landscape, our team will take you to visit the Roman ruins and let you explore the archeological site and its history. 

After visiting the ruins, you will continue the journey to Meknes, a city with a 17th century heritage. The team will stop in this place for lunch and give you the chance to explore the huge historical walls of the medina, visit Bab el Mansour and enjoy a visit to Moulay Ismail’s shrine. After that, you’re going to stay in a Riad in the Medina, and spend the night enjoying your stay the ancient medina of Meknes.

Day 05: Meknes – Fes Sightseeing

The next morning of the Grand Morocco tour, you will have breakfast in your riad and start the day by heading to Fes “1 hour drive” where you will explore one of the oldest cities in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts by the Royal Palace gate, and the first Mellah ever built in Morocco (an ancient Jewish headquarters which was built during the 16th century).

Our team will make sure that you visit all important cultural and historical monuments including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in Morocco and the World, the Attarine Museum, Tanneries, and Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. After having lunch, our team and you will pay a visit the tiles cooperative to see how they work then get a wonderful panoramic view over the whole medina of Fes. You will spend the night in one of the wonderful Medina Riads.

Day 06: Fes – Midelt – Errachidia – Erfoud – Sahara Desert

As usual, the journey starts after breakfast the following day, Our drivers will pick you up from your Riad then drive to the south Est of Morocco visiting different places in the road like Ifran, Azrou and Michelifen forest near the Middle Atlas mountains. On the way we will stop at the cedar forests to see the Barbarian Apes in their natural habitat. Then you move on to Midelt to enjoy a view of the Middle-Atlas passing through the beautiful Tizi N Tlghamt Pass after that you will enjoy the panoramic view of the Ziz Gorge carved through the volcanic rocks, then the scenery will start to change to reveal the desert view step by step and you will feel this change in the weather as it gets hotter as you approach the desert.

You will have a stop in Errachidia city to have lunch before you continue your trip. After lunch you’ll continue your trip passing by the exquisite view of the palm tree Ziz Valley to Erfoud and Merzouga. In Merzouga, you will take a camel ride to a Berber camp in the middle of the Golden Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes, which are the highest sand dunes in North Africa. The camel trek takes about one hour to the camp where you enjoy a stay in the Berber tents for our night in the desert. The tents are well equipped with mattresses, blankets, and cushions. After dinner , you will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums looking at the stars.

Day 07: Sahara Day Trip

The following morning of the Grand Morocco tour starts just after breakfast and a refreshing dip in the pool, our team will pick you up in 4×4 to explore some nearby caves where natural fossils are found. After exploring the caves, you’ll be taken to the small and ancient village of Tissrdmin, where many movies have been made. Then, you cross the Black Desert, which got the name from the volcanic stones spread all over it, and you’ll share tea with a local nomad family. In addition to that, you will explore the desert region around the Erg Chebbi dunes where you’ll have the opportunity to see the nomadic life with the amazing and ambivalent Sahara. 

Next you will visit the Gnawa village of Khamlia; Where you’ll indulge in the spiritual music of the Gnawa. For lunch, you will taste a traditional Berber Pizza in the ancient capital of Rissani or Khamlia Village depending on lunch time. In the late afternoon, you’ll ride on camel back to watch the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in the desert camp. Upon arrival to the camp, we’ll have a Saharian dinner, drink delicious local mint tea, and listen to traditional Berber music around a campfire while watching the stars and the rising moon in the amazing Sahara Desert as if you are in the middle of nowhere.

Day 08: Sahara desert – Toudra Gorge – Dades valley:

In the early morning, you will get up to enjoy the magnificent sunrise from above the dunes then have breakfast, after that you will get on the back of camels to ride back to the camels parking to continue your tour. you’ll leave for Tinghir and the Toudra Gorges where you will spend and amazing day in the beautiful mountains and Oases, and finally arrive in the Dades Valley, where we will have a dinner and spend the night.

Day 09: Dades valley – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah:

We’ll drive on our tour from Casablanca through the Dades Valley towards the Capital of roses Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. Throughout your itinerary through the Dades Valley you will explore the way of the thousand Kasbahs, which provides you with unlimited number of photo opportunities. After this, you will visit the Roses valley, then continue to the Hollywood of Africa (Ouarzazate. you will have Lunch in the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco is among the UNESCO World Heritage. Finally, you spend the night in a Hotel/Kasbah.

Day 10: Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakesh

After breakfast, your journey will continue through the majestic Tizi N Tichka pass, which is as high an altitude of 2260m, over the High Atlas Mountains. You will a have a break to enjoy the panoramic views and visit the Argan oil cooperative in the region. And you will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon. You will relax and enjoy Marrakesh, then you will spend the night in your hotel.

Day 11: Marrakesh Sightseeing:

After breakfast in the riad, you can start exploring Marrakech “the reddish city of Morocco”.  Our team will ensure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interests, including Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace. After lunch at a restaurant near the square Jamaa Elfna, you will walk the souks (local markets) and view hundreds of amazing Moroccan handicrafts. In the Afternoon, you will have some free time to wander by yourself through the other parts of the city with our guidance if you need anything.

Day 12: Marrakesh Free Day

This is a free day in Marrakesh for you to relax and recharge your batteries before the tour continues. You will walk in the medina or head to the new city “Geuliz” then in the afternoon you will go to Elfna square and can stay there till sunset and you can enjoy those beautiful panoramic view from the terrace of one of the beautiful cafes in Marrakesh.

Day 13: Marrakesh – Essaouira

Today on the Grand Morocco tour, you will head to another beautiful city which is visited by people from all the corners of the globe. You will head to Essaouira and in the road, you will have some stops to take pictures in panoramic views and specially you will stop to take picture of goats on the Argan trees ( Argan is a tree which exist in few places over the world and Morocco is the unique country which produces Argan products like crèmes, Massage oil, beauty products …) when you arrive at the City, our drivers will take you to your Riad/Hotel then you can go out to enjoy the sunset in the sea( it is close to your Riad/Hotel). And you will spend the night in you riad.

Day 14: Essaouira

Essaouira is well known for its long historical background and you will spend the day exploring all those beautiful historical monuments with ancient handicrafts and enjoy the colorful stance of the city. This city was one of the special places for Moroccan Jewish who form an important component of the Moroccan culture … It has one of the oldest Medinas in Morocco and it’s your opportunity to have some fresh fish in the port.

Day 15: Essaouira – Oualidia

The next day of the Grand Morocco Tour, the tour will continue along the coastline North to the small and well kept secret at Oualidia (Oualidia Beach).  This beach offers shallow bays which create beautiful turquoise water for bathing in a varied coastline. And you spend the whole day relaxing and roaming about in complete calmness and enjoy the beautiful and fresh air all along the day. And by the night you will spend your day in a nice hotel.

Day 16: Oualidia – Transfer to Casablanca airport

After Breakfast, our drivers will pick you up and drive to Casablanca airport and drop you off 2-3 hours before your airplane time. And this is the end of your Grand Morocco tour with us In Morocco.
