In preparation for your Moroccan adventure, the following is a list of things to consider packing that will make your trip as smooth and comfortable as possible.
Pre-departure Essentials:

You can scan these, upload them to the internet or email them to yourself. Internet access is widely available in all major cities and most small ones in Morocco. if you have any questions feel free to ask.
Travel Clothing :
- Windbreaker or warm sweater for cooler months and desert cool air.
- Travel Footwear: Sneakers or hiking shoes, sandals, socks.
- And try to have the apposite kind of clothes always hand as the weather in Morocco is sometimes unpredictable especially in winter.
Day 1: Arrive at Marrakesh
On the first day, your TOUR FROM MARRAKECH with WOW MOROCCO TOURS will start depending on the time of your arrival, you will explore some interesting sites in Marrakesh. If you arrive a little early, you will explore the famous Jamaa Elfna Square which is full of all types of entertainers like Storytellers, jugglers, acrobats, snake charmers and more. Then, you will head to your hotel/Riad where you will spend the night.
Day 2 : Essaouira(Day tour)
After Breakfast, you will head on our TOUR FROM MARRAKECH to visit another beautiful city in Morocco which is Essaouira. It is well known for its long historical background and you will spend the day exploring all those beautiful historical monuments with ancient handicrafts and enjoy the colorful stance of the city. This city was one of the special places for Moroccan Jewish who form an important component of the Moroccan culture … It has one of the oldest Medinas in Morocco and it’s your opportunity to have some fresh fish in the port. In the afternoon you will come back to Marrakesh to spend the night in your hotel/Riad.
Day 3: Marrakesh (City Tour)
After breakfast in the riad, you will start exploring “The reddish city from which Morocco got its name in French or other languages” Marrakesh. Our team will make sure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace. After lunch at a restaurant near the Jamaa El Fna square, you will walk through the souks (local markets) and view hundreds of handicrafts. In the Afternoon, you will have some free time to wander by yourself through the other parts of the city.
Day 4: Marrakesh Ouarzazate/Boumalan Dades
The next morning of the TOUR FROM MARRAKECH, our transport will pick you up from your Riad just after breakfast, and you will head to the High Atlas crossing the beautiful pass of Tizi N Tichka and you will have some stops along the way to enjoy the panoramic view you will encounter along every part of the road especially some small Berber villages scattered all over the place.
And you will continue to the south by visiting the Ait Ben Haddou kasha which was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. And you will enjoy the place where some famous films were made like Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penélope Cruz… and many more. Next you will have some free time for lunch in the village. After that, you will continue to Ouarzazate also known as “The gate of the desert” you will visit the Taourirt Kasbah, one of the most spectacular ksars in Morocco.
You will, then, continue to visit is the Rose Valley stretching along the big Skoura palm grove; a beautiful place to experience some of the adventures you may have read about in Bowles’ the sheltering Sky especially the thousands of palm trees and many Kasbahs spread along the road. You can also enjoy rose products especially for cosmetics. The Rose Festival is held here (in Kalaat Mgouna) annually in May, it is an important moussem for Moroccan culture. Finally, we reach the Dades valley where you´ll spend the night.
Day 5 : Dades Valley – Merzouga (Sahara)
After breakfast the following morning, you will be taken to a small hill from which you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Dades Valley, from this particular place you will see the whole Kasbahs in the region and explore the characteristics of each one.
After that, you will head towards Tinghir and Gorge Toudra to enjoy the view of fantastic cliffs as you have never seen them elsewhere and head to the heart of the desert. On the road you will have many stops to enjoy every aspect of the nature of the region and you will stop in Tinjdad and Torog to have lunch in one of them depending on time. After lunch you will continue your way to Merzouga. When you arrive to Merzouga, you will find camels that will take you on a trekking excursion for one hour to the nomad camp where you will spend a night in the middle of the desert, and you will enjoy an exotic dinner under the sky decorated with marvelous stars.
Day 6: Desert tour
The following morning starts just after breakfast and a refreshing dip in the pool, our team will pick you up in 4×4 to explore some nearby caves where natural fossils are found. After exploring the caves, you’ll be taken to the small and ancient village of Tissrdmin, where many movies have been made. Then, you cross the Black Desert, which got the name from the volcanic stones spread all over it, and you’ll share tea with a local nomad family. In addition to that, you will explore the desert region around the Erg Chebbi dunes where you’ll have the opportunity to see the nomadic life with the amazing and ambivalent Sahara.
Next, you will visit the Gnawa village of Khamlia; Where you’ll indulge in the spiritual music of the Gnawa. For lunch, you will taste a traditional Berber Pizza in the ancient capital of Rissani or Khamlia Village depending on lunch time. In the later afternoon, you’ll ride on camelback to watch the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in the desert camp. Upon arrival to the camp, we’ll have a Saharian dinner, drink delicious local mint tea, and listen to traditional Berber music around a campfire while watching the stars and the rising moon in the amazing Sahara desert as if you are in the middle of nowhere.
Day 7 Sahara desert to Fes
In the following morning of the Marrakech tour, you will wake up early to enjoy the sunrise from above the dunes and After breakfast, you will head back to the north of Morocco. you will start your journey to the north through the Tafillal palm grove, the biggest in the world. You´ll see thousands of palm trees along the 20km of road. This way leads us to the Ziz valley, which is river that comes down from the High Atlas and feeds the palm grove. Here we make a stop and from this high viewpoint, enjoy a magnificent view of the valley and the town of Aoufous.
You’ll make another stop in Midelt, just in the heart of the Atlas where you´ll have free time for lunch and rest for a while. In the afternoon, you will continue your way through the Cedar Woods where, if you are lucky, you’ll see some monkeys. The next place you´ll visit is the city of Ifran, situated in the northwestern slope of the Middle Atlas at 1630 meters above the water level. Its broad avenues, its urban development with perfect cleanness, the gardens, the green areas and its architecture make this city look like a swiss town. Ifran feels misplaced in Morocco. That’s why it´s named the Moroccan Switzerland, and if that´s not enough it has an important ski resort, Michelifen, then by evening we will be in Fes.
Day 8: Fes (City Tours)
The next morning of the Marrakech tour you will have breakfast in your riad and start the day by exploring one of the oldest cities in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. You will start by visiting the Royal Palace gate, then the first Mellah ever built in Morocco (an ancient Jewish headquarters which was built during the 16th century). Our team will make ensure that you visit all important cultural and historical monuments including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in Morocco and the World, the Attarine Museum, Tanneries, and Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. After having lunch, our team and you will pay a visit the tiles cooperative to see how they work then get a wonderful panoramic view over the whole medina of Fes. You will spend the night in one of the wonderful Medina Riads.
Day 9: Fes – Chefchaouen
After breakfast in your Riad, we will leave Fes and head West towards the blue pearl (Chefchaouen), through the Rif mountains. when you arrive to your destination, you will walk through narrow alleys of the old medina whose all walls are painted in blue and it’s from these walls that it got the name of the Blue Perl. Then you will check in at your Riad and after lunch you will explore more of the city and have dinner in one of the terrace restaurants. And you will enjoy a calm night in the Riad.
Day 10: Chefchaouen – Tangiers
The following morning of the Tour from Marrakech, after breakfast, you will enjoy more of the city and our drivers will pick you up around 10:00 GMT and head to the next destination in the list, the white dove (Tetouane) where you will take some photos and move on the Tangiers to visit Cave of Hercules and other important places especially those places that many famous authors like Tennessee Williams and Paul Bowles loved. The you will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 11: Tangiers- Tangiers Airport/Port:
This is the last day of our TOUR FROM MARRAKECH. You will have breakfast and check out, our drivers will be there to pick you up and take you to your departure destination the port or the airport depending on which means of transport you choose.
